Title: Charset encoding (?) issue when migrating from 4images
Post by: fdsooor on 25-08-2016 00:25:56
Hi there,

I encountered a problem after migrating from a 4images gallery to JoomlGallery.
Everything is transferred correctly except the titles of the categories and images that includes (in my case) Greek characters.

My old DB is `latin_Swedish` encoding (4images) but my website that I'm transferring to is `utf8_general_ci`.

I would really love some help on this.

Hi,

have you tried to convert the database to 'utf8_general_ci' before the migration?

Hello
Excuse me how to encrypt the database?
For immigration, we want to make our imagination comfortable

Or it does not matter at all and it is not necessary
Thank you for explaining this
