1  JoomGallery 3.x JUX / Interaction with other components / System - DS Constant on: 26-10-2015 11:22:52
Thought that I should share this experience.

Pop-ups stopped working after upgrading to Joomla 3.4.5. After reading this site's suggestion about disabling System Plugins, I found that the "System - DS Constant" plugin needed to be disabled.
2  JoomGallery 2.x ACL - Extensions / Modules / Re: Module mod_joomimg problem when inserting Categories on: 04-02-2014 21:30:41

Many thanks for your reply.

You've resolved the problem for me. I'd been using the Category name rather than the public ID.

Much appreciated. JoomGallery is a fantastic module and I'm grateful for all who have helped develop it.
3  JoomGallery 2.x ACL - Extensions / Modules / Module mod_joomimg problem when inserting Categories on: 04-02-2014 11:48:29
The Module mod_joomimg works fine when no Categories are inserted into the appropriate field. However, if one category is listed, then the whole web page is blank.

Any ideas, please
4  JoomGallery 2.x ACL - Extensions / Plugins / Unable to load slim box feature in Joomplu category on: 13-02-2012 22:51:05
If I insert a single image into a content page using Joomplu, the thumbnail image displays correctly and, when clicked, it opens in a slimbox frame as intended.

However, if Joomplu is used to load a category, the thumbnails display correctly but the individual images will not display in a slimbox or any of the other alternatives given in the Plug In "Basic Options>Opening of the images" with the exception of when this option is set to "like set in JoomGallery", the image is displayed in the Gallery view as expected.

Can anyone tell me what parameters I need to set to get the Category thumbs to be displayed in a slimbox?

With thanks.
5  Archive / Backend / Administration / Removal of zip uploads on: 05-01-2012 13:21:05
I notice that when I upload a zip file to my web site, JoomGallery creates an archive folder in administrator/components/com_joomgallery/temp/. It unzips the file and stores the individual photographs.

In order to save on both storage space and backup size, is it acceptable to remove these archive folders and, if so, does it have to be done manually or is there a delete button within the JoomGallery Component that I've been unable to find?
6  JoomGallery 2.x ACL / Frontend / Re: Thumbnail image and css problem on: 13-12-2011 23:47:25

Thanks for the information, I've enabled the "Extended" pop-up tab in "Options" and the "joom_local.css" reference is still not showing when I view the source code for a web page.

I can overcome the problem by including the css data in my template file. However, I would like to know what the problem is, if that's possible?

With best wishes.

I can't find the the "extended configuration manager". Where do I find it?

With thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

joom_local.css is not appearing in the source code of the page when either JoomGalleries or JoomTreeView is unpublished. Any thoughts?

Kind regards.
9  JoomGallery 2.x ACL / Frontend / Thumbnail image and css problem on: 26-11-2011 18:30:00
I am using JoomGallery v2 running on a test site using MAMP and Joomla 1.7.

I have changed the name of the css file to "joom_local.css" as directed and have added the following to the file in order to increase the magian around the thumbnail images on my content pages:
img.jg_photo {
  vertical-align:bottom; !important
  /*margin:0 0.3em 0.3em 0; !important*/
  margin:10px 10px 5px 10px;
The css code works well when JoomTreeView is Published on all pages but doesn't when it is not published or is published on a specific page.

How can I get the thumbnails to accept the css style if I don't want to have JoomTreeView showing (it takes up too much space on my site)?

11  JoomGallery 2.x ACL - Extensions / Solved Topics: Plugins / Problem with Button Plugin (JoomBu) on: 07-11-2011 14:36:35
I'm having problems when I use the JoomBu plugin (2.0 Beta dated 01.11.2011). The button works with no problems when I want to insert a Category (the number of photographs are inserted in the field together with the number of columns and the category from the drop down list is then selected ... the code {joombucat:X} is then inserted into the content).

However, if I just want to insert a single photograph, I am unable to choose a photograph from a selected category (no code or photograph is inserted). If I choose a photograph from all the pictures in Joom Gallery, then the thumbnail of the selected photo is inserted. Obviously, this means searching for the required photograph, which is not easy when viewing several hundred mini thumbnails.

Is this a problem with the plugin or is it something that I'm not doing correctly?
12  JoomGallery 2.x ACL / Backend / Administration / Re: Config Manager on: 04-11-2011 22:19:06
Apologies, but I still can't seem to remove the Author, Ratings, Hits and Comments from images displayed in content using {joomplucat:X} tag. Can you please help?
13  JoomGallery 2.x ACL - Extensions / Plugins / Displaying a category on: 03-11-2011 21:12:52
I am new to Joom Gallery and have installed JoomGallery 2.0.0 BETA2 on a MAMP test site running Joomla 1.7.

I can successfully place in an article an individual photo from a JoomGallery Category, using a tag such as {joomplu:27}. However, is it possible to display all of the photographs from a gallery into an article using a tag or by some other means? With thanks.
