Hello, I have created a gallery and put the module in a user area in the template, selected Category view when an image is clicked. This takes me to a gallery which fills the component, then I need to hit Back To Gallery Overview or Home to find the starting page for the gallery which contains all the categories.

My question is - how can I display this gallery overview page in the component from a menu link? So that users go straight to overview rather than having to click through an image, then back to gallery overview to reach it.
It is probably simple but I can't find a way of doing it.

thanks for any help
Jeff

Just create a menu item to the component in the Joomla menu manager...

Sorry, no support via PM (unless I asked you for some details). Just post in the forum, maybe someone else has the same problem or already a solution available.

I can make a menu item to the gallery. But i want to make some submenuitems linking to the different catagories.
is that also possible and how (i can only link to the gallery itself and not adjust the refering link)

Just create a menu item to the component in the Joomla menu manager...
olmost, only the link is for the gallery itself.
but i found (maybe nos so common) siolution.
I created a submenu nd every item in the submenu (topmenu) is an external link, linkin to: index.php?option=com_joomgallery&func=viewcategory&catid=6&Itemid=56 (for example)
atleast this works for me, only don't forget  to change the number of subitems in the top menu component.

here is the example (ohw its in dutch btw but it speaks for itself) http://www.bierlaagh.com
