Hi!

I've installed joomgallery and I'm very impressed. i think is the best gallery extension.

I'm using in a community websit where all the group can send photos. But I would like to have a option to anyone can ask to delete personal photos or unapropriate. Something like a link or icon near the photo "delete this photo" and then should be confirmed, or not, by the administrator or the owner of the photo.

Is that possible?

thanks

Hi!

I think, that's possible, yes.

But it's complicated. For example, you have to integrate a form or something like that, in which the user can put his name or e-mail address. Otherwise the administrator wouldn't know who wants to delete the photo or whether he is legitimated. On top of that you need a mail or message function which processes the information and generates the mail. It would take time to do all that, but maybe it is included in one of the further versions of the gallery because it's definitely a useful add-on.

Yes, you are right.

In my site I use integrated with CB, and only registered users can send photos. Maybe the easy way is when someone "ask to delete" then trigger a mail from(name+email) based on the CB profile information (or normal register information). Then in the admin should be a list of "ask to delete" photos to aprove(delete) or not.

What do you think?

Yes, if the user is logged in it will be easy to get his name, but you still have to integrate the message function. The list in the backend needs a lot of work, too. I think you must wait a bit for that add-on.
