I'm trying to figure out how to add a line of code for each image in JoomGallery to allow it to work with Simplecaddy. The line of code is quite simple {simplecaddy code=product_code_goes_here}, but I'm not a programmer so this is proving quite difficult for me. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi,

sorry, that isn't possible at the moment, because the code you mentionend has to be put into a text which gets affected by content plugins, but in one of the future versions of JoomGallery we will add the feature of realizing content plugins in the image and category descriptions.

Chraneco,
Thank you for answering my question. I have another now — if I hire a programmer, would he/she be able to make this change relatively easily or is this a big re-write of the code?

Hi,

no, it should be easy to implement, if he uses the following code for each description:

Code
echo JHTML::_('content.prepare', $description);

For example in the detail view you have to search these lines in the file 'components/com_joomgallery/includes/html/joom.viewdetails.html.php':

Code
      <div class="sectiontableentry1">
       <div class="jg_photo_left">
         <?php echo JText::_('JGS_DESCRIPTION'); ?>:
       </div>
       <div class="jg_photo_right" id="jg_photo_description">
         <?php echo Joom_BBDecode($imgtext); ?>&nbsp;
       </div>
     </div>

and replace the line

Code
          <?php echo Joom_BBDecode($imgtext); ?>&nbsp;

with the following one:

Code
          <?php echo Joom_BBDecode(JHTML::_('content.prepare', $imgtext)); ?>&nbsp;

If that works you won't have to hire a programmer Yes

Hello,

This is several day that I am scratching my head trying to figure out how to put a cart icon (link to simple caddy)
And I finally find this!

But I am a little bit confused and worried...
1/ your post is dated from 2009...  Dead
2/ I cannot find the path that you mentionned in your message
"components/com_joomgallery/includes/html/joom.viewdetails.html.php"
I don't even have the "includes" folder and it makes me wonder that joomgallery changed a lot in the meantime.
I checked the files and I found "jg_photo_description" in
components\com_joomgallery\assets\js\smoothgallery\scripts\jd.gallery.js

Please wizard Chraneco, if you read this post from somewhere on this earth, could you please do the same miracle?
(I added a screenshot. This is where I think that it should be located, correct?)

Thank you in advance.

Ben
