In the Configuration manager>general settings it asks whether I want to integrate a bridge. It is unclear whether a bridge is built into JoomGallery or I need to get one somewhere. Yes, I do want to integrate JoomGallery with Joomla 1.58 so if I need to add a bridge, where do I download it from?

There's no need to activate a bridge to use JoomGallery. As a Joomla components, it's running in Joomla by default, and it wouldn't even be possible not to integrate the gallery into Joomla ;)

To be honest, I can't think of anything requiring the bridge to be activated!

P.S.: you posted in the wrong board, Ponygallery instead of JoomGallery.
