Hi

I have made small hack, that allows to resize original images to specified size.
Basically only feature i was missing from Datso Gallery.

There are changed files attached (version 1.5.0.4). extract them to
administrator/components/com_joomgallery

After extraction, there will be two new options available in configuration tab
General/Image Settings

JGA_RESIZING_ORIGINAL - Yes/No
JGA_MAX_ORIG_WIDTH - Int

And yes, you need to alter joomgallery configuration table, to add these two new options

Code:
ALTER TABLE jos_joomgallery_config ADD COLUMN jg_resizeoriginal INT(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0, ADD COLUMN jg_maxorigwidth INT(5) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0;

I have verified, it works for admin single uploads and java uploads.
Should work also for batch uploads, but i havn't tested yet. I havn't hacked ftp upload part of code.

I am looking for the same function as described in this old post i.e. auto resize of photo originals during frontend upload to help manage disk capacity without making users do any local resizing. Has this feature been included in the latest production version?

Thanks

I have uploaded all my images already and now I want to adjust all to a set width, is there a hack or code edit for that?

This should be in joomgallery in my opinion (although please don't get rid of the original feature all together because on my sites I like having them). Just the other day I was making a site for someone which they wanted the detailed image kinda small 400 or so pixels, but they wanted users to be able to download a bigger version. The problem with storing the original is that they have a lame host that does not allow a ton of space so eventually they may end up stop using originals all together. But if the original were some how resized, then that would be cool.  Grin

EDIT: For some reason the link had changed. It's fixed now.
