Have just upgraded from 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.5.
Firstly, thank you for a great component and for all the effort!

The issue I have is that the detail view image breaks (attempts to load but then stops and simply reverts to a box with the image title in it). Also, the original image cannot be viewed. All thumbnails display fine though. I managed to isolate the source of the problem: this only happens if SEF urls are enabled, using mod_rewrite, in the Joomla configuration. As soon as this is disabled all image views work fine. I only use Joomla core SEF (no 3rd party component), and I did test this with only the original Joomla htaccess file. I have also created a new menu item for the gallery section.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and any ideas what can be done about it?

Hi,

please post links to your sites.

Does it work with enabled SEF after disabling the option 'Add suffix to URLs' there?

Hi,

so now it works with SEF URLs?

Sorry, I don't have an explanation for the bad performance, but I don't think it's a problem of JoomGallery.

Hi,

will it be faster if you disabl the SEF URLs?

The old site doesn't seem to be much faster.

Hi,

are the aliases set for all your images and categories?

Please delete all SEF URLs of sh404SEF and check your site again.

Hi,

@raspinah: Please disable all system plugins in your plugin manager (except 'System - SEF').

If the image in the detail view is displayed then please try to find the plugin which is causing the problem by enabling the system plugins again step by step.
