I am running JoomGallery 1.5.7.3 on a Joomla 1.5.23 installation.  I am using the autocat plugin to create a user category for new users.

In the User Access Rights settings in configuration, I have "Upload images only on own categories:" set to YES.  However, when I log into the front end of the site I can still upload images to other categories.  My client is a school district.  Each building administrator should have access to upload photos to their building's category.  There is a main category for each building.  There is also a main category named "Faculty".  Each teacher has their own category under Faculty, created with the autocat plugin.  The categories look like:

Building A Gallery - Owner: Administrator A
Building B Gallery - Owner: Administrator B
Building C Gallery - Owner: Administrator C
Faculty - Owner: none
  |_ Teacher A Gallery - Owner: Teacher A
  |_ Teacher B Gallery - Owner: Teacher B
  |_ Teacher C Gallery - Owner: Teacher C

When I log into the front end as Teacher B, I am able to upload to my own gallery (Teacher B), but I am also able to upload to any category ABOVE Faculty (for example, I can upload to Building A Gallery).

Is there ANY way I can get it to work so that Teacher B can ONLY upload to Teacher B Gallery?

Hi,

please check the categories you have released for image upload. Have a look at

User Access Rights >> User Upload >> Allowed categories

in JoomGallery`s configuration manager.
