I'm new in joomgallery 2 and my question is how to assign registered users to upload only in their own categories?

Hi,

please go to admin menu of JoomGallery. There you can find a toolbar button called 'Options'. Clicking on it will open a pop up box in which you can assign the permission 'Upload in Own' to registered users. Please also ensure that these users don't also have general permission 'Upload'.

Hi, I am also new to JoomGallery, I did give the permission to "upload in Own", but I still don't see where the user get's the way to upload... is there a module or plugin that I have to install?

Hi,

if the user has only the permission to upload in own categories there has to be at least one category which belongs to him.

Additionally you have to enable the user panel in tab 'User Access Rights' -> 'User Upload' of the configuration manager.
There will be a link to the user panel in frontend then where users can upload and edit images and create and edit categories (if they are allowed to do so).

Hi!

I have a category in which I want users to be able to create a gallery, in which they can put their pictures.

This category is my "User gallery" with rights:
Upload in own
Create in own
Edit own

But now they cant create a gallery; the link to "Categories" is not visible in the user panel. Only when I enable "Create" the link appears, but now users can create galleries in other user galleries!

Any help will be much appreciated!
