Hi all...

I'm not able to find a way to assign more than a single user to a specify category... i explain better with an example:

I've Sport category
I've Nature category
I've Animal category

I've User1 User2 User3 User4 User5 For Example

I Need User1 See Only Sport
I Need User2 See Only Nature
I Need User3 See Only Animal
I Need User4 See Only Sport and Nature
I Need User5 See All of Them

Alternatively I can use Groups to assign users to groups, but in JoomGallery i can assign only users not a specific group to a category!

So how can i achieve this? i don't want that all registered user can see all the gallery i've!
I need the ability to assing users (or groups) only the category i want they can see!

Thanks in advance...

I have a similar question.

I am making a photography website for a client. They want to make a gallery (or category) for each of their clients so that when they log in they are presented with only the pictures that are to do with them. They shouldn't be able to download these pictures or upload anything into this gallery.

For example:

My client took some pictures at a wedding. The person who's wedding it was should be able to log into the site and be presented with only the pictures of their wedding, not pictures of other photo shoots done by the photographer.

Is this possible in Joomgallery? If so I'd be very grateful for some pointers. I'm quite new to Joomla and very new to Joomgallery.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi,

for that, you have to create a user group for each of these users first and then an access level. While creating the access level for each user group you have to select the created user group (or more).
Then you are able to assign that access level to the certain categories you want to be shown to the user.

Hi
I'm looking to do something similar.

I want to have publicy available galleries, easy enough. But, I also want client only available galleries ie Fred is a client, I have 3 galleries for Fred, b ut I only want Fred to be able to view these galleries.  I also want the images to be available in their respective categories, not just as one big gallery.

At the moment, all I can do is assigned Fred as the owner of his images, but when I display them, all I get is a single gallery.
