Hi!
Some greek characters on comments get replaced with a very strange way

First of all this happen only to the last latter of a word but not to all of them
If a comment have 5 words.

The problem will be to the first OR the second OR the third etc..

The problem is ...

Lets say the last letter of a word is 'λ' the greek 'l'

and we want to write cool

i will get coo&lambd- a;

Of-course this is happening only to the Greek words (cool was only for the example)

Please help me with this...

thanks for your reply psyazax!
Unfortunately it doesnt work

the funny thing is that if i choose to delete a comment, then on the delete confirmation page (where is a comment preview) i can see the comment normally without any errors

I have exactly the same problem...
Greek chars are stored like this in DB:
Πολύ όμορφ
I have never seen something like that before in Joomla... They should be stored as normal chars...

I just tried it...
Unfortunately it hasn't been solved yet...it is definitely a Unicode problem. And most probably other languages should have similar problems.
Please does anybody listen here?

I decided to take action!
I modified includes/joom.comments.php line:
Code
$this->cmttext       = Joom_FixUserEntrie(Joom_mosGetParam('cmttext', '', 'post'));
to
Code
$this->cmttext       = Joom_mosGetParam('cmttext', '', 'post');
and it is now working  Smile
I am not sure however if this modification will break something else...
As far as I can understand the removed code cleans the comment string from unwanted html tags.
So probably if the users dont enter comments with strange html tags, everything will be ok...
