I need some help to find the problem as to why i get a 500 error when trying to perform the migration.

The script processes all the categories but only seems to process about 26 photos then gives an error after about 25 seconds or so and I can't seem to pin point the problem.

I have tried following settings in PHP and it still errors out:
max_execution_time =600
max_input_time = 600
memory_limit = 256M

I am using PHP 5.3.8

Any pointer would be appreciated

Hi,

was there any additional information given with the error message?

Could you please attach the log file of the migration which you can find in the log directory of Joomla! to your next post?

Hi,

thanks, maybe there was a problem with the Assets.

Please uninstall the new gallery completely and check whether all database tables and folders were removed after that.
If yes, please install it again and try once more.

Did you do a check in maintenance manager of the old gallery afore migration? If no, please do that, too.

I uninstalled and checked the assets...There is no reference to Joomgallery in the asset table

Yes I checked, it displays the following
"There were no corrupt images found! All images should be shown properly."

Hi,

thanks, is a message like that also displayed in the next three tabs of the maintenance manager?

If yes, please try again to migrate. If the error occurs again please post a screenshot of it.

Hi,

thanks, that is an internal server error. That means it is displayed by your server rather than by PHP.

Please ask your hoster why this error occurs.

I got this error:

Quote
500 - An error has occurred.
Parent asset ID could not be found

Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Hi,

this error means that you aren't using a fresh and clean installation of JoomGallery 2.0.
Please uninstall and reinstall it again.

I uninstalled and installed again. installed the migrator file again and then the started. It told me:
Quote
There were 1 error(s) during migration. Please have a look at the logfile.
i checked the log and it is full of :
Quote
ERROR   DB error: Unknown column 'parent_id' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO sfgp_joomgallery_catg
which is puzzling because there is a colum parent_id present, and values have been inserted there.

Hi,

could you please attach the complete log file to your next post?

Which database table prefix do you use in the old installation and which one in the new?
