So, you have just migrated your gallery from PonyGallery to JoomGallery. But what about all those existing links, e.g. from your forum or coming from some other sites? Maybe you already have some high incoming traffic through Google search & image search.

One solution would be a mod_rewrite rewrite rule. If that won't work for you (no mod_rewrite e.g.), then the solution below might be something for you. In addition, it also forwards the direct addresses of all watermarked images - which is not possible with mod_rewrite because of the new URL of watermarked images in JoomGallery.

All requests to PonyGallery (like index.php?option=com_ponygallery&id=...Itemid=XX) are forwarded to the correct URL of JoomGallery (index.php?option=com_joomgallery&id=...Itemid=YY). The HTTP-Code 301 ("Moved Permanently") gives search engine crawlers a hint that the URL changed, if you're looking for a SEO-friendly solution.

Just replace components/com_ponygallery/ponygallery.php with the attached file (backup first, remove .txt extention) and you're done. If you're afraid of possible security concerns in the future, you could also delete all other remaining files of Ponygallery. It might also be possible to uninstall the component, then create the directory com_ponygallery again and place the "new" ponygallery.php in it.

The script uses 2 DB-queries, you could get rid of one by hand-coding the new ItemID of JoomGallery.
