So, trying to migrate from old JoomGallery 1.5.7 to the new 2.0.

Fixed the orphans on the old site, enters the Migration manager on the new site, clicks the Check-button and everything is green.
GO! :)

Presses Start and the script starts. After some time, maybe 15 minutes or something, it breaks and the only error message I get is "Parent asset ID could not be found".
When I check the database I see that it has created all of the categories but breaks on the first or second image.
So in the image-table there is only one image.

Checking with FTP I see that all folders has been created in both originals/ details/ and thumbnails/ folders.

And also, no logging seems to be enabled for the JoomGallery, because the log/ does not contain anything from JoomGallery.
Do you have to activate this somewhere for JoomGallery?

Hi,

usually this error means that you have tried to migrate to a JoomGallery 2 which isn't fresh and clean (some entries are missing).

Please uninstall JoomGallery 2 completely and install it after that again.

The log file is created in the configured log directory (see global configuration of Joomla!). This needn't be the 'log/' directory (especially after having migrated Joomla! with the help of JUpgrade component).

Chraneco, you are a life saver for the second time in like 1 week for me!

It worked super after I uninstalled JoomGallery and installed it again. Approx. 5 hours for the script to run.
Where some failures and no log file unfortunately but considering I have 35 000+ pictures and 3500+ albums then it seems like a small error.

Strange with the log file, Joomla says it has write permissions in the ./log folder. Doesn't matter that much, my migration work and I'm happy as a camper ;)

Hi,

alright, thanks for the feedback!

Did you migrate Joomla! with the help of JUpgrade component afore?
If yes, then the log file may be located in the '/log' directory of the old Joomla! 1.5 installation.
