Hi all,
I hope you can help me. I have used JoomGallery in the past for only simple galleries. Now I have a client that has a different request, and I REALLY hope that JoomGallery can do this..

The client is a photographer. on her new website she wants to be able to upload albums for her clients to look at. She wants to be able to give the client login details that would allow them to ONLY be able to view their own album - no one else's.

Is this possible with JoomGallery? And if yes, how?

I hope to hear back soon :)

Please can someone help me?
If this is not possible, then I need to look for another solution for my client.

Hi,

that is possible with JoomGallery, but only in an complicated way.

You would have to create a new access level and a new user group for each client. This way you can allow the client to see only his own categories by using the respective access level.

Thank you so much for the reply Chraneco.
Would I need to create a new access level for each client every time? or is it only one new access level (maybe called clients), and then the new user group for each client would then maybe be called their family name to differentiate?

How/where would I set up their passwords? Is this in the Joomla Registration area or is there an area in JoomGallery?

Hi,

unfortunately, you would have to create a new access level for each client and use the Joomla! registration.

This feature would simplify this very much for you I think. You could vote for it there.

Ok, I have just gone to vote for it.
Do you think that if we all suggested to pay for the time it takes to create this, it would be possible for them to do it sooner?
Because like you say, this is a very long way around Sad
