I have a multilanguage site in Dutch and English. It worked, but suddenly I can no longer link from the Dutch language site to the images. From the english site it works good. See: http://www.gijsbrouwer.nl

I have joomla 2.5.7 (latest version) and the latest version of Joomgallery

Please help,
Thanks,
Idso Brouwer.

I also get the same problem using 2.1.1 on my site JoomGalley "www.photoart.it" the component works but the problem is the modules (JoomImages) work well only in english and not in Italian
you can not see the images and use it when you see incorrect link but only in italian, english language is correct
use joomla 2.5.7

the plugin (JoomGallery - Facebook Like Button) generates the link right in both languages .......?? Cry
The module (JoomImages) but no ...... one thousand tried settings but the problem remains?? No

someone has any idea where to find the bag
Thanks to all

For now I have disabled the multi-language option on the site, but I have tested it with a few other sites that I maintain and the result is the same. For some reason whenever I create a multi-language site the Dutch part seems to be not accessible from images embedded in articles and from joomimages. From the main component (through a menu-item) all the images and categories are accessible.

http://www.forum.en.joomgallery.net/index.php?topic=5801.msg18283#msg18283

I tried to make the description as clear as possible. No replies yet.  Cry

I have tried everything available; in English it all works, but Dutch I get a 404 error.
Please see www.gijsbrouwer.nl

I will leave the website in multi-language for the moment, so you can have a look at it.

Please help; this is a real showstopper for this website.

Thanks,
Idso.

I see what is happening:

I have two menu's, one in dutch containing a menu item "Fotos" and one in English containing a menu item "Photos"

When I open a joomplu image from an article in English it goes to http://www.gijsbrouwer.nl/en/photos/tennis/2012/masters-nhn-2012/masters-nhn-2012-6-2118/

When I open the same picture from the Dutch site it should go to: http://www.gijsbrouwer.nl/nl/fotos/tennis/2012/masters-nhn-2012/masters-nhn-2012-6-2118/

But it actually goes to: http://www.gijsbrouwer.nl/nl/photos/tennis/2012/masters-nhn-2012/masters-nhn-2012-6-2118/

So it takes the nl part, but still uses the menu item (photos) from the English language menu.

Ofcourse then I get the 404 error.

I have set the default language to NL.

I hope this makes it easier to solve the problem ?

Thanks,
Idso.

Is anybody actually looking at this problem, or is it just ignored ?

Thanks,

Hi,

JoomGallery was not yet tested with multi-language.

Which kind of multi-language do you use, the core one or something like JoomFish?

JoomGallery hasn't added the core multi-language features, either.

If you would like that please vote for it here.

I use the core multi language feature with Joomla 2.5.7

On one website it works only with SEF turned on, on another website it works only with SEF turned off Smile
In any case I need to specify the menu item id to get the main component to work and even then JoomCategories and JoomGallery don't work on all multi language sites.

Multi-language would be a good feature for Joomgallery. It is by far the best gallery component; my compliments !

Thanks,
Idso Brouwer.

Hi,

yes, we will try to implement the core multi language feature of Joomla! in one of the next versions.
