HI
After uploading an image using Java (haven't tested the other forms yet, I get a white-screen-of-death with the following -
Code:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JUtility::sendMail() in /home/cwridesc/public_html/components/com_joomgallery/helpers/messenger.php on line 433
But when I simply go to the gallery, the image DID upload and it's there. So, there's a problem with the php code in Messenger.php. I didn't play too hard around with it yet, I will post if I get a better idea.

J! 3.0
JG 3.x BETA

no additional modules or anything on that page... pretty bare (and new) site for now...

OH!!! but I DO have the settings of notification to be by EMAIL ONLY to "Default users" ... not by pm. if that makes any difference.

Hi,

thanks for that hint.

Could you please replace the class name 'JUtility' by 'JMail' in the given line and test again?

Hi,

alright, here is another try:
Please replace the complete string 'JUtily::sendMail' by 'JMail::getInstance()->sendMail' in that line.
This time it should work.

ok... I changed it so that the line 433 is:
Code:
    if('JMail::getInstance()->sendMail($from, $fromname, $recipients, $this->_subject,  $this->_text) !== true)

but now I get an error:

Code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/cwridesc/public_html/components/com_joomgallery/helpers/messenger.php on line 453

and the line of THAT code is:
Code:
if(isset($this->_message['from']) && $this->_message['from'] && is_numeric($this->_message['from']))

...  Dead

ALL WORKS GREAT NOW!!!!

Uploads work with java and drag-and-drop (though I feel that the "upload" button should 'appear' clickable. (it IS clickable, but does NOT turn into a hand and is initially deceiving)...

Notifications come via email like specified, and all is good again in the world!

thnx for your help!!!!!

Hi,

alright, thanks for the feedback!

Actually, the mouse pointer should turn into a hand on that upload button for the drag'n'drop uploader (at least for me).

Maybe it's a browser specific problem. Which browser do you use?

I use chrome for the most part...
FF if I really need for troubleshooting (Firebug)

... it also could be the theme (yootheme)

Also... silly question, though not at all relevant, but is the component (or upcoming modules) responsive? (the theme is...)
thnx

Alright, we have to do some tests with that.

The backend of JoomGallery 3 is fully responsive, but the frontend only partly because we didn't want to destroy or completely change existing sites when they are updated.
However, we added a feature in frontend with which it is possible to use so called alternative layouts. So you are able to create HTML output files for a completely responsive gallery which aren't lost during updates.
If you know Bootstrap and HTML I can tell you more about that so you can create your own layout files.

Otherwise you will have to wait a bit of time until we can create a responsive template, but that hasn't high priority at the moment.

THANK YOU!

I am not fully eager to write the files (yes I have some experience with bootstrap), but this is for a simpler site, and I can WAIT for the alternate layout whenever you come out with it.

I am just thrilled you are on the whole J!3.x compatibility! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
