Backend uploads work. Frontend uploads do not.

I added the upload form to our Joomla 3.0 menu
http://server-name/index.php/upload-form

If you are not logged in you will get a redirect loop and error in Chrome.

If you are logged in you'll see the upload form.

I created a registered test account tester/password.

I set the permissions for registered users to allow uploads - but that didn't help
http://server-name/administrator/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_joomgallery

I uploaded an image using the "single images" and batch images tab and they don't appear to work.
I don't get any error message in the browser or the request/response headers.

Because of this, I set the value for Redirect after upload? to "No"

I uploaded the same image using the "drag and drop" tab and it also fails:
Request URL:http://server-name/index.php/index.php?option=com_joomgallery&task=ajaxupload.upload&format=raw
Request Method:POST
Status Code: 500 View not found [name, type, prefix]: joomgallery, raw, joomgalleryView

And from the browser console.
[FineUploader] Error when attempting to parse xhr response text (SyntaxError: Unexpected token <)
[FineUploader] 'error' is not a valid property on the server response.
fineuploader.min.js:1

Information from my attempt to upload using the Java tab:
Upload stopped with errors
Received HTTP status 500
View not found
[name, type, prefix]: joomgallery, html, joomgalleryView

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

for a test, please disable all system plugins in plugin manager and try again.

Great, thank you Chraneco. Your suggestion put us in the right direction.

What we found is that by disabling the K2 plugin, user/frontend uploads now work.
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/authoring-a-content/content-construction/8061

The K2 plugin installs as a system plugin.

However, we need the K2 plugin and JoomGallery. And we don't know what to do next.

How can you help us with a next step to have both installed and working?

thank you for your help.
