Hi,

I have just installed Joom Gallery and set the image root folders to folders I already use. I have a lot of images already used on the site in various articles as well as in gallerys and don't want to move them.

I notice that all the folders I have previously used are in the orphaned folders section and all I can do is delete then which I obviously don't want to do. Is it possible to "un-orphan" these folders as i really want to use this extension but don't have the will or time to the re-link every image in every article.

any help appreciated.

Thanks

I have the same problem..
I run the latest version of joomla..
i was running joomgallery 3.1.0
first i updated to joomagllery 3.1.1 and it deleted my old files..
I restored them, but i have 11K+ images, and when i try to use
Maintenance manager to bring them back it just redirects me to admin/index.php
and doesnt do anything..
When i click on 'Maintence Manager' it refers to everything i used to have
as orphans, and the list is long enough to make the page take forever to load..

How do i get my Joomgallery 3.1.0 archive, imported into Joomgallery 3.1.1?

Easy Solution for me, which is after a lot of time trying to get 3.1.1 to work..

uninstall 3.1.1
install 3.1.0
delete joomgal entries in database..
import joomgal entries from 3.1.0 into database
move(copy) joomgal directory back into images/Joomgallery

works.. i'll wait for the bug fix of 3.1.1

Hi,

i understand that you habe manually created folder or images in the folder as specified in the Configuration Manger from JoomGallery. You should not do!
The folders in this path are created and managed by JoomGallery. If you manually save something right there that the database records do not match and is displayed as orphan.
