The Gallery works perfect if the site is put back into the subdirectory it was in Link removed for security reasons. Then when it's moved to the public_html root directory it just doesn't display anything like the component is dependent on it being within that folder now. I tried reinstalling the component but it deleted my database so I had to restore my backup. Using 3.3.3.

What is causing this? I'm guessing the old component is linked and dependent on the subdirectory otherwise moving it wouldn't be an issue.

Do I need a script to migrate this due to the fact it's in another folder now?

Tried backing up the database, reinstalling the component and then restoring the database entries for joomla to see if that worked but it doesn't. It just makes the Gallery show nothing. If anyone has some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. Back to troubleshooting. Shocked

Hi,

your site has been hacked according to various security tools.
You should clean up the site of an experienced profi or completely re-create.

For JoomGallery it plays no whether the side is in a subdirectory or not.

Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.htaaccess file was redirecting everything to the old subdirectory I built the site in..
I just commented out the RewriteBase line in the .htaaccess file which looked liked this

Code
RewriteBase / mysubdirectory

To this

Code
#RewriteBase /

I didn't have to delete the 2nd part since I commented the line out
but I felt compelled to because this was giving me so much trouble.

I followed the instructions concerning image links after migration,  however the images are still not being loaded when viewed in browsers. Can you offer any other instructions to assist?
