I have a problem with images on modules. I use the detailed image that has a width of 900 px. In the module I need images 350w x 200h. For graphic reasons, is important that photos have the same height.
If I use the crop method, the picture's cutted portion is too much little. If I do not use the crop, of course, the height is variable on the different images.
is it possible to resize width and then crop the height only? Or what other solution can I apply?

Hi,

i understand it so:
You use the JoomImages module with the default layout setting (not slideshow)?
Your images all have the same width (900px) and different heights.
In the module all images should be displayed with the same size (300 x 200px)?
...If I use the crop method, the picture's cutted portion is too much little. If I do not use the crop, of course, the height is variable on the different images.
This is a bit difficult  Rolleyes
First way: i would create a separate category (hidden) in the JoomGallery and set the images to the right size of 300 x 200px (thumbnail conversion: free settings). Then show only this category in the module.
Second way: if the thumbnails are large enough, you can use them instead of the detail images.

YES

YES it's ok for detailed images (in component I use RokBox slideshow popup)

In the module all images should be displayed with the same size (300 x 200px)?
YES 350x200

First way: i would create a separate category (hidden) in the JoomGallery and set the images to the right size of 300 x 200px (thumbnail conversion: free settings). Then show only this category in the module.

NO module is: Last two images uploaded.  I use detailed and not thumbs because in component I need Thumbs 162x100 /too small for module).

Page with component: http://www.rideraddict.com/it/bikers-albums

Actually probably  I would need 3 dimensions, but JoomGallery it only has two. I erase the original (my users often load very heavy images).
How to find a solution?

Then you remain the possibility after the crop of the detail image to eg. 600px then shrink by css. Example:
.joomimg260_img img {
   height: auto! important;
   width: auto! important;
   max-height: 200px! important;
   max-width: 350px! important;
}
