Hi,
SW=Version 1.5 RC2, BUILD 20090222
When I create a new category from the front-end I get:
        * Copy failed
        * Copy failed
        * Copy failed
the directory is however created but I cant upload any pictures to it.
If I try from the front-end I get:
1. pic.jpg
Filename bad, or unable to copy uploaded image to originals directory.

If I try from the back-end I get:
Warning: Failed to move file! and strangely enough also:
Upload successfull!

The picture is not in the category though...

Please help, I think it would be a really neet program...

Thanks for your reply,
So I filled in ftp account in Joomla/site/Global Configuration. (Is there any settings in Joomgallery as well?).
After that back-end upload is ok BUT NOT front-end  No

After the initial install I created a number of categories from the back-end.
After I chmod'ed these categories to 777 I am able to upload pics from front-end BUT
when I try to create new sub-categories from front-end I still get:
        * Copy failed
        * Copy failed
        * Copy failed
the directory is however created but I cant upload any pictures to it.
If I try from the front-end I get:
1. pic.jpg
Filename bad, or unable to copy uploaded image to originals directory.

And now when I try to upload pics from the back-end I get:
        * JFTP::store: Bad response
        * Warning: Failed to move file!
and strangely enough also:
Upload successfull!

I want all registered users to be able to upload to any category/subcategory from bothn front and back-end.

Regards,
/Christer

Hi,

there aren't any settings for the ftp-layer in JoomGallery. The settings in Joomla's Global Configuration should be enough, but are you sure that you have filled in all the information and set 'Enable FTP' to 'Yes' ?

I ask because the error message 'Copy failed' can only appear if the ftp-layer is not enabled.

A bunch of thanks for that advise!
(Should the FTP Host be the 127.0.0.1?)
The path contained two slashes in a row... Dead
now it works better!

Another issue is that if a user uploads a picture from the front-end I can't delete from the back-end, even though I'm logged in to the back-end as superadmin.
I get this pop-up when trying to:

An error occured!
The whole process has been stopped!

Error already not defined!

Error-Number:0
Category-ID:2
Name:pic_080501_20090301_1812624103.jpg
Directory:/joomla/components/com_joomgallery/img_pictures/cross_2/
