Hey guys, I've been looking in the forum but could not find anything that could help me. Sorry if this questions is a bit but I really need help. I am using JoomGallery with CB (latest releases) and I want a registered user to create his own gallery, is it possible? how? believe me guys I been trying to figure it out since yesterday and can't seem to find the answer. I also installed the Gallerytab so the user gallery can appear on his profile. Please help guys. ------------------ It might seem out of topic but I also wanted to thank the creators of such wonderful module for joomla, Thanks guys, I'll make sure I will donate once my site is finished.

I'm having the same problem as above - If a user is at administrator level or higher they can upload photos but other registered users cannot - Is there a setting to change this? The user panel link is there but the two buttons (new picture) and (categories) are not showing...

Check the backend settings. You need to create at least one category, and allow it for user uploads by selecting it in the config manager. The same goes for user-created categories.

I have been fighting with this for hours. I have selected them all, saved, and nothing works. Only administrators have access to the upload function. What else could this come from? Any ideas?

Is there a limit to how many categories can be user-enabled? I have enabled them all and still, no buttons appear for non-administrators...

By removing the php if conditions on the html.php for the user panels, I was able to determine that the categories, though selected, are not being made available once saved as selectable to users in the access rights panel.
What might cause the settings to not "stick?"

Everything appears to be fine. I am running Community Builder 1.2. latest JoomGallery (enabled the CB and added gallery tab), on MixxMag, php 5 (I believe) and Joomla 1.5.9. Any ideas? All the categories are set to access: registered and seem available in the mass-select menu. I have 38 categories... would love to give someone a peek from here?

It seems I have too many categories. When I select them all, it allows me to only select about 20. Is this expected? How do i change the number of categories available? Is it possible?

Hi FrankThinker,
I had the same problem. I think the reason for that are the restricted database fields jg_category and jg_usercategory in the table jos_joomgallery_config. Either increase both values from length 50 to your needs or change the field types to text, but don't forget to backup before.
Regards Erftralle

You are right, that is a bug. Thanks for your feedback! These fields should be of type "text"...

Changed to 'text' in the next upcoming version of JoomGallery 1.5.
